Jamie's Journal

I grew up in Shelburne, Vermont, where my love for jewelry began at a young age after a trip to a local bead store to create an end-of-year gift for my teacher. What started as a simple creative project quickly became a passion.

I began making beaded and leather pieces for friends and family, and with their encouragement, my interest in jewelry design continued to grow. I transformed part of my basement into a small studio (complete with freshly painted pink walls) where I could bring my ideas to life. By the age of ten, I was already selling my creations at craft fairs, farmers markets, and local boutiques.

Over time, my work evolved from beads and leather into metalwork and fine jewelry. I sought out mentorship from established designers in my hometown and beyond, refining my craft and developing a deeper appreciation for timeless design.

Today, James Johnson specializes in custom jewelry and engagement rings, pieces that are deeply personal and made to last. My work is rooted in craftsmanship, storytelling, and the belief that jewelry should mark life’s most meaningful moments.
